Founder of Local Colour and resident artist. You want it? She'll paint it! Rachael offers custom portraits and silhouettes in a variety of styles as well as classes, art lessons and paint parties. 

Classically trained at The Torpedo Factory as a youth, she continued her education studying fine art at The Corcoran School of Art and Design and Northern Virginia Community College. She specializes in Acrylic, Watercolor and Mixed Media painting and is best known for her life-like pet portraits, but she'll paint anything your heart desires. 

 

She teaches Acrylic painting to students of all ages and skill levels right here at the Local Colour gallery. 

 

In 2019 she launched a humanitarian project called Voices in the Grey in an effort to help destigmatize depression and mental illness by illustrating the anonymous stories of those silently suffering and sharing it with the world.
